Get started today with our free plan and send automated emails to up to 2,000 contacts, or upgrade to a paid plan that fits your needs and budget.Brevo’s marketing automation software allows you to create your own customer follow-up emails, tailored to your needs.

Step 1: Identify your inactive subscribers

You first need to determine which subscribers should receive your reactivation emails. You can base this on email opens or clicks, or on why should anyone care?”  product purchases. You’ll also need to determine the duration of inactivity.

The timeframe you choose will depend on the type of services you offer, as well as how often you email subscribers. However, as a general rule, 90 days is a good time limit for marking a contact as inactive. If subscribers have been inactive for much longer (around 6 to 12 months), you should remove them from your list.

Once you have decided on your conditions, you can create the segment using Brevo’s search filters feature.

Step 2: Plan and design your reactivation emails

The next step is to design your email series. You can start with an initial email to grab the subscriber’s attention, then follow up with another email  which social networks should you have a presence on? that further emphasizes your value to them. Your final email should offer a final chance that will make the subscriber want to stay.

Once you have a plan, start writing your content and creating the email. Our drag-and-drop editor and ready-to-use email templates make the process ultra-intuitive!

Once you’re done, save the template to Brevo.

Step 3: Configure your automated scenario

For this type of automated email, you will need to use Brevo’s marketing automation system.

Next, you’ll need to select an entry point type  resource data  of “Contact Activity” and “Contact Matches Filter.” From there, you can select the filter you’ve already created.

Next, add the actions, in this case ‘Send Email’, and add the email templates you created.

You can also add additional conditions to your scenario, such as adding a time delay or A/B testing.

Once you’ve finished creating your scenario, you can test it before activating it.
