The egregious case of violence against a lawyer in the Buchanan CCC highlights systemic problems with respect for the rights of lawyers in Ukraine and the need for urgent changes.
When we talk about a democratic state! its foundation is always the rule of law. Lawyers are Inadmissibility of violence not only the voice of the law! but also a shield that protects every citizen! even when all else seems lost. However! in the current conditions of war in Ukraine! a threatening trend has emerged: those who should maintain order are disrupting it! turning territorial recruitment centers (TCCs) into lawless zones.
The CCC system which was supposed to be a mechanism to protect the country
Sometimes turns into a bastion of arbitrariness. Cases of illegal actions by employees of these centers against lawyers are becoming increasingly common.

The protection of rights and freedoms is the main mission of the bar. We work where laws are violated! where human rights are devalued! and justice seems distant. However! what to do when those who should abide by the creating an ideal candidate profile law become a source of violence? When the law enforcement or military system turns against a lawyer who protects the interests of a citizen? These questions arose before me when I read on the website of the Kyiv Region Bar Council about the incident that occurred at the Buchansky territorial recruitment center.
Territories without a bar?
Recently! lawyers in Ukraine have been facing a dangerous phenomenon – the actual awb directory ignoring of their professional rights in some state institutions. As colleagues report! the situation in the CCC has become a textbook example of this problem. The recent case of Maria Naselenko! a lawyer! a third-group disabled person! a volunteer and the mother of a volunteer! vividly illustrates the depth of the crisis.
