My introduction to the VO

The Volvo Ocean Race. The toughest and most impressive sailing race in the world. A race that lasts over 8 months and consists of 9 so-call legs. This spectacular sailing race has never been so close, not only physically – there was also a pit stop in The Hague in the last leg – but also because the 7 participating teams had an onboard storyteller that we could follow via all possible channels. How content brings brands and people closer together.

The Volvo Ocean Race

The Volvo Ocean Race starts on October 11. A sailing race around the world that is held every three years. This is the toughest and most spectacular sailing race in the world. The first race took place in 1972. Volvo has taken over the sponsorship since 2005, which is why the name of this sailing event changes to the Volvo Ocean Race, abbreviat as VOR.

Until three o’clock in the morning I follow the boats and the various updates from b. I am captivat by a sailing phenomenon that I had previously had nothing to do with. And I quickly see that the power of this event was in an enormous richness and diversity of content.

 

The teams and the brands
