What makes a website good? Web designers love to rack their brains over that question.
In the answer to that question, the terms user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) are often thrown around. You may already know what UX is thanks to our previous articles on the subject:

But what the hell is UI? And why do I think UX is more important than UI?
And more importantly, why is there a good chance that your website has a bad UX?
What is the user experience (UX)?
For those who missed the previous article , I’ll give a quick recap. The UX is the user experience. UX design determines which components and where contribute to the ease of use. The UX must ensure that the user can quickly, easily and pleasantly find or do what he came to your website, app or webshop for. This is not about the look and feel (that is UI), but about the functioning of the website, and about the interaction that the user has with the site. The decisions that UX designers make are often bas on data about, for example, click and scroll behavior.
What is the user interface (UI)?
The UI is the graphic design that complements the You only get the right phone list contact lists with your products and services, our all data is 100% accurate & design.Secondly europe cell phone number list it can be out of other Countries. UX. The UI includes the look and feel; shapes, fonts, colors and all other graphic elements are part of the UI. UI designers are all about aesthetics.
A good product experience starts with the UX and is follow by the UI. Both are crucial for the success of a website, webshop or app, but the UX should always be the first step.
Why is UX more important than UI?
The reason why user experience is more important than design? In short:
A crappy design can be overlooked, while a bad UX cannot be ignored.
Suppose you surf to the tax authorities website because you want to file a tax return. What you see is a website that looks like it was created in 1999: the graphic design is completely outdated. Nevertheless, you can easily find the button where you can file the return. The return process is then divided into logical steps and if you have any questions, you can easily find the FAQ or contact details. The website may be unsightly, but you have been able to do what you came for without any problems. Imagine, however, if things were the other way around.
The website has a beautiful graphic design that clearly took a lot of time and effort. That’s promising! Full of hope, you want to start filing your tax return. But where? The website is an illogically structured mess. You don’t see a menu item ‘File a return’. By eventually scrolling through many pages, you find an inconspicuous link somewhere. You start filing the return, but this is also not intuitively structured. A frustrating experience is the result. Do you see the difference between the two examples? And remember, I’m using a tax return to my advantage. That’s something people have to do, no matter how bad the UX is. But what if you had such a bad UX on a commercial website? On yours, for example? Would a potential customer really go through that much annoyance to find what they’re looking for on you? Or is it more likely that they’ll leave your site and go to a competitor with a more user-friendly site?

Why is there a high probability that your website’s UX is bad?
UX is not sexy. It is a relatively invisible, a-visual concept. All credit therefore goes to the UI, the part that is visible. You mainly experience the UX when it is not right: ‘Damn, I really can’t find anything on this worthless website!’ The UI, on the other. Hand, immediately catches the eye and is recognized much sooner. The chance that you hear someone say: ‘Wow, what a great UX this website has’ is small.
Why doesn’t a website builder always build websites?
For this article I had an alternative title in mind: ‘Why doesn’t a website builder always build websites?’ Because that’s what happens when a client asks us to design only the UX. I can think of two reasons:
The user interface and the technical realization of a website, app or webshop can be outsourc quite easily to a cheap foreign website builder. However, the UX often falls outside the capabilities of such agencies because for the UX you ne to know the local market and its players. You ne to know how competitors approach things. That is why it is safer for a Belgian company to have the UX drawn up by a Belgian UX designer. This is what the German pharmaceutical company Bayer recently did when they contact us about their new Belgian website.
They had already hir a foreign company for the website technology, but they preferr to entrust the UX and UI to us.
A client may want to see his website realiz c level contact resource in a program other than WordPress. Think of Magento or Shopify for example. However, we are only a specialist in WordPress. For that reason we reject other assignments. Sometimes it happens that the client still wants us to be involved in the project because he has seen good websites that we have made. In such a case we gladly propose to make the UX design (and possibly also the UI in Adobe XD ). With the UX strategy that we have made (and possibly the UI design) the client can then go to a web agency that has knowlge of the chosen software.

We wrote this blog because on the one hand I want to give ao lists the reader more insight into UX, and on the other hand I hope that people will start to see website builders as more than just people who can create a nice design.
More than just pretty designs
Whether you ne e-learning, an intranet, a podcast platform, a rental platform or something else entirely: chances are your website agency can integrate it into your website.
